Domain Name Development Project

Almost one month ago we announced a domain name development project we had started on but hadn’t shared specific information about the actual domain name. We are not ready to release all the info yet, but we are documenting the process and will eventually publish it so anyone can follow the exact steps themselves.

The domain name is a local service related domain name and this industry is highly competitive where lots of money is spent on advertising; both online and offline. The domain name is being developed with the intentions of becoming a national service directory that will provide local information on companies in this specific industry.

After one month the results are pretty awesome. We have developed the domain name so that the national structure is there, but now we are focusing on content generation, and local seo for the NYC and surrounding areas. In less then one month we are already at the top of the second page of Google for a few very competitive, high CPC keywords!

The site is built on WordPress, has about 60 pages, and a little over a dozen posts. The plan is to add about a dozen posts a month for the next few months, and build upon the page structure, and onsite SEO.

As we optimize for the keywords and search phrases for the local areas we are focusing on now and see the amazing results we are already obtaining, we will duplicate this strategy into other areas saving us time further developing the site.

Website Monetization

The goal of this domain name development project is the ability to generate income from this website. Our website monetization strategy is mostly dependant upon the ability to rank the website, and compile a list of potential businesses that we can reach out to when the time is right.

Also besides offering banner and informational SEO content posts on this website it gives us the ability to learn more about the businesses we work. Doing so opens the door to offering additional services that we provide, and many of them are in need of.

Another way we are monetizing this website is with Google Adsense.

As we continue to develop this domain we will look for additional ways to monetize the website, and being a national local service directory it provides virtually an endless supply of potential customers.
